Dr. Dre Reveals The Release Date For Eminem’s New Album Revival
After months of anticipation, Eminem’s new album Revival finally has a release date. Dr. Dre posted a video on Twitter today starring Trrevor, the face of the fake pharmaceutical ads that Em has been using to promote the album. In the video, Trevor reveals that Revival is set to drop on December 15.
Not much else is known about the project, although it’s expected to include Em’s recent single “Walk On Water” featuring Beyoncé. Considering Dre revealed the release date, it seems safe to assume he’s involved in some way. Eminem also previously confirmed that Rick Rubin would serve as the album’s executive producer.
Revival is set to be Eminem’s first album since 2013’s The Marshall Mathers LP 2, but its marketing has more in common with Em’s 2009 and 2010 albums Relapse and Recovery. The project was rumored to be dropping on November 17, although his camp never officially confirmed the date and it came and went without a release. He recently performed “Walk On Water” alongside a medley of his past hits on Saturday Night Live, rather than two separate songs like mosts artists do, leading some to believe he pushed the project back.
However, with the release date officially confirmed, it looks like fans can finally stop worrying about Revival’s status and start wondering what it has in store.
